AI-deas Sprint Showcase
Join us on Thursday 14 May to celebrate the results of the AI-deas Sprint Programme — ai@cam’s initiative supporting interdisciplinary Cambridge teams to turn AI research into working prototypes that address real-world challenges.
Over the past six months, seven teams have been developing AI tools with the potential to transform healthcare, food security, education, urban planning, and more. At Demo Day, they’ll share what they’ve built, what they’ve learned, and what comes next.
Hear from the researchers behind each project, see live demonstrations of their prototypes, and join the conversation about how AI can deliver public value.
The projects
- Conservation co-pilot: making environmental evidence instantly accessible to decision-makers
- Dr. Endo: accelerating endometriosis diagnosis through AI-enhanced ultrasound
- Thermal imaging for precision brain tumour surgery
- AI-powered crop disease advisories for global food security
- Personalised second language learning through AI
- PelviSense: non-invasive biofeedback for pelvic floor health
- PLATO: making housing development transparent for communities
